Case Manager Supervisor Job

Case Manager Supervisor will oversee specific service lines of Rose Medical Center Position Summary: The Supervisor of Case Management, in addition to performing the usual functions of a case manager is responsible for leading the department in the absence of the Director. Is responsible for ensuring that the defined model of practice is carried out effectively as well as that units are appropriately staffed according to census and patient/family needs. The Supervisor will field pages from employees and physicians in the Director's absence. II. Position Requirements: A. Licensure/Certification/Registration: R.N. license required. B.

Education:
Bachelors degree required. C.

Experience:
A minimum of three years clinical experience in acute care setting plus two years case management experience required. D. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Must have knowledge of JCAHO & CMS standards as well as federal, state, and local laws pertaining to the functions of the department. Must have the ability to assess information, apply critical thinking, determine best course of action, and convey necessary information to the interdisciplinary team. Requires excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Must be able to prioritize workload and adjust staffing up or down, depending on census and patient need. III. Degree of Supervision Required: Minimal, expected to be self-directed. IV. Orientation Period: Contingent upon experience, to be determined by Director.
