Credentialing Coordinator - Denver Surgery Centers CBO Job

Job Summary: The Credentialing Coordinator will be based at the Central Business Office (CBO) and will provide credentialing services to seven outpatient surgical centers. The primary job responsibilities are: review and present medical staff and allied health credentialing applications and delineation of privileges to the Medical Director or Department Chairperson for approval. The Credentialing Coordinator will establish and maintain a consistent credentialing process, while supporting the credentialing needs of each individual center. Utilize center-specific and system-wide resources as necessary for efficient performance of duties. Position will be 32 hours perweek (four 8-hour shifts). Job Responsibilities: ·Pull and review initial applications and reappointments from Alchemy Web. ·Process additional privilege requests. ·Follow-up and obtain missing information for credentialing files. ·Send initial applications to the Medical Director for temporary privileges. ·Send reappointment applications to the Medical Director or Department Chairperson for approval. ·Act as the primary contact person to meet the needs of the Administrators, Physicians, Allied Health Providers and any other customer of the Surgical Center. ·Provide superb customer service to internal and external customers ·Complete and present the Medical Executive Committee and Governing Board summary grids to the Administrator. ·Facilitate the training of Medical Directors to move toward a paperless credentialing system. ·Work with CVO to improve credentialing processes (reduce reports generated for expired documents, track missing information from CVO files, create generic checklist form, create a process for Leave of Absence requests, communicate address change process with centers.) ·Travel between Central Business Office and Surgery Centers, as needed. ·Utilize his/her resources and notify the CBO management team as issues arise. ·Communicate and direct issues to the appropriate personnel at the CBO. ·Assure all necessary patient paperwork is submitted to the Central Verification Organization (CVO) from the facility in a timely and HIPAA compliant manner. ·Must demonstrate a competent, courteous and professional demeanor and lead the team by example. ·Other duties as assigned.
