Director of Business Development and Physician Svc - Clinic Services Job

GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES - This position would be responsible for the development of physician practices in Denver, Oklahoma and Kansas. DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO : 1. Oversees and manages new physician employment process. ·Conducts physician interviews in order to determine best physician candidates. ·Engages physician candidates early on in the process in order to maintain interest in employment at HCA. ·Assist with the initial screening of the physician for employment to insure a good job match between the physician and the position; initiates appropriate screening processes including behavior profiles, interviews, and prior references. ·Provides to physician candidate an accurate representation of what is entailed with employment at HCA. ·Constant communication physician to resolve issues and provide information to ensure physician employment. 2. Manages Fair Market Value process. ·Arranges for FMV analysis to be done if necessary. ·Gathers and reviews practice data. ·Gathers credit histories. ·Interacts with outside evaluator. 3. Conducts front end collection and entering of practice data into PAWS system. 4. Prepares physician employment contracts in accordance with hospital CEO and Division management expectations while insuring compliance with all applicable regulatory authorities and HCA policies. 5. Conducts and manages all aspects of the physician contract negotiations from first contact with physician to the transition to live operations. 6. Facilitates the implementation of start-up process with team to ensure a smooth transition to HCA employment. 7. Display consistent behavior that enhances the public image of the organization as evidenced by professionalism in interactions with peers, subordinates, customers, (patients, families, physicians, payors, vendors, etc.) 8. Practice and adhere to the "Code of Conduct" philosophy and "Mission and Value Statement". 9. Evaluates each employee's performance and provides appropriate guidance and feedback. 10. Oversees the daily/monthly expenditures, staffing and overtime hours 11. Counsels, disciplines and/or recommends termination of employees as required. 12. Recommends professional development for staff. 13. Ensures regulatory compliance. 14. Develops and oversees implementation and administration of internal practice policies and procedures in conjunction with Physician Services standard policies and procedures. Interprets applicable laws, rules and regulations and ensures the practice is in compliance with them. 15. Develops and maintains effective communications between all levels of personnel. 16. Ensures compliance with and knowledge of the company's Code of Conduct by all subordinates to ensure an ethical work environment.
