Description:
I. Position Summary: Performs angiography/special procedures, cardiac catheterization and radiological diagnostic procedures. Operates diagnostic and monitoring equipment, develops film and prepares the room with the necessary equipment and supplies for the procedure. Is able to provide care for his/her assigned patients. Maintains technical skills and is responsible for the use of equipment to minimize hazards and maximize patient safety. Secondary duties include clerical duties, receptionist, answering phones, scheduling patients, ordering supplies, stocking the department, maintaining files and general cleaning. Assist in collecting data for PI monitors and conducting QC on equipment. II. Position Requirements: A. Licensure/Certification/Registration: ARRT BLS/ACLS Basic EKG B.
Education:
HSD OR GED Graduate accredited school of medical radiography C.
Experience:
1 year experience D. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Critical thinking skills Patient care skills III. Degree of Supervision Required: Under direct supervision of the Technical Coordinator/Cath Lab Charge Nurse IV. Orientation Period: General departmental orientation completed within two weeks.
