Position Summary: This position supports the mission of Presbyterian/St Luke's Medical Center of optimizing the quality of life of all those served by expanding beyond the traditional focus on medical needs to the needs of the whole person. Assesses Level I, II, and III neonates, demonstrating expert clinical knowledge and judgment. in collaboration with neonatologists. Selects and implements appropriate treatment plans for infants with both acute and chronic problems, in collaboration with the neonatologists. Performs clinical procedures for which he/she is credentialed, competently. Demonstrates the ability to identify problems in clinical management and in departmental performance and serves as a leader in promoting positive change. May include providing care to infants during Critical Care Transport. Applies current evidence to own clinical practice and teaches evidence-based practice to nursing staff and to outreach audiences. Provides care to neonates within the HealthOne Practice Perogatives for Nurse Practitioners.
