 Director of NICU, Pediatrics, and Cleft lip  and C left Palate, at Rose Medical Center in Denver.             

  

  

 Position Summary:  The Director of the Neonatal Intensive Care Nursery (ICN) and Pediatric Services provides leadership through planning, organizing, coordination, monitoring, and evaluating the care provided for patients.  Responsibilities include fiscal, human resource, quality, risk management, operational functions, strategic planning, and development of staff.  Maintains 24 hour accountability.  The Nurse Director performs duties consistent with the scope of practice and functions within the philosophy and overall plan of care at Rose Medical Center, HealthOne Perinatal Services and Rocky Mountain Children's Hospital Affiliation for Pediatric Services.  The Director displays positive support for the values and mission of Rose Medical Center.  Provides care for and supervises care of the neonatal and pediatric population. 

  

 II.                      Position Requirements:  

 A.          Licensure/Certification/Registration:   Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Colorado.  Current BLS and NRP certification.  Neonatal nursing specialty certification    (RNC) preferred. 

  

Ideal  Candidate will have: 

  

 BSN required MSN or Masters in related field preferred 

3-5 years experience in Level III NICU 

Specialty Nursing certification 

Strong clinical background 

Experience with construction and design of a NICU would strengthen a candidate's eligibility 

  

Demonstrated knowledge of quality systems: TQM, Six Sigma etc. 

Proven track record in project management 

Experience building strong physician partnership 

Results oriented 

Can demonstrate family orientation to critical care of the neonate and excellent customer orientation 

Team builder 

Passionate about top box clinical results

The Registered Nurse may be asked to float to Well Baby Nursery or Neonatal Intensive Care Nursery and will perform only those duties for which he/she has demonstrated competency.  The Registered Nurse performs delegated duties consistent with the scope of practice and functions within the philosophy and overall plan of care at Rose Medical Center.
