Sky Ridge Medical Center is excited to announce the expansion of 7 new OR rooms in our facility.  We are seeking an experienced OR Manager to join our team.  The Nurse Manager will supervise the OR Coordinator and Pre-Op/PACU Coordinator regarding clinical and ancillary services within the center and analyzes and evaluates continuously all nursing services rendered to improve clinical outcomes. This individual will demonstrate leadership by working collaboratively to promote customer service and patient satisfaction.  Participates in staff development, educational programs, and orientations. 

  
 RESPONSIBILITIES: 
 



  
 



Demonstrates technical expertise in areas appropriate to the center's patient population. 
 



  
 



Delivers care, and directs the delivery of care by others, in a manner that is consistent with current standards of the profession and with policies / procedures of this center. 

  

Interacts with patients, fellow employee, physicians, and other customers in a manner which encourages quality patient care, harmonious working relationships, positive customer relations, and which enhances the image and reputation of the center. 

  

Supports the center's mission by dependability in attendance, punctuality, the timely completion of care and other assignments, resource and information management, and attention to principles of quality service. 

  

Maintains and improves skills and knowledge appropriate for position, personal growth, and for enhancement of patient care. 

  

Provides leadership for staff, promotes an environment in which all team members can work cooperatively.  

  

Functions effectively as a key player in the facility Leadership Team.  

  

Understands and effectively implements "Best Practices, Risk Management, and Quality Improvement Programs. 

  

Assists in preparing an annual budget and manages the department on a sound fiscal basis. 

  

Participates in the ongoing development of goals, objectives, and standards of the center. 

  

Assists Administrator with marketing activities and physician recruitment. 

  

Supports and adheres to HCA Code of Conduct, related Ethics and Compliance policies and HIPAA requirements.

Responsible for assuring adequate staffing and maintaining appropriate productivity standards.  Demonstrates advanced knowledge and skills in the care of patients in designated areas.  Provides patient care utilizing the nursing process-assessment, care planning, implementation, and reassessment- for identified population per the Colorado Nurse Practice Act.   Documents patient care; coordinates interdisciplinary communication and care; participates on hospital committees; facilitate unit meetings.  Develops and implements unit specific competencies; annual performance of staff; supervises RN's, LPN's, CNA's, MST's, and Unit Secretaries. Provides coaching and counseling for employees as appropriate; supervises unit scheduling; monitors and addresses call-ins.
