The Multi Skilled Technician performs delegated duties consistent with his/her scope of practice, under the supervision of the RN and assists with direct patient care; functions within the philosophy and overall plan of care delivery at SMC. II. Unit Description: The Neuroscience Unit (NSU) has a 20-bed unit with 16 private rooms and 2 semiprivate rooms. The Spine Unit is a 20 bed unit with 12 private rooms and 4 semiprivate rooms. Our staff rotates between the two units. The NSU patient focus is any type of neuro diagnosis (both surgical and medical). We are a JC accredited Stroke unit and have 3 beds for intensive neuro diagnostic monitoring (INDM) for seizure patients as well. We have basic telemetry for our stroke patients.
