 Summary of Duties:

  The Facility IT&S Manager provides technical and managerial leadership in establishing goals and priorities and in the overall management of day to day operations within a HCA hospital. This position is directly involved in design, planning, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of facility infrastructure including telecommunications (as applicable), desktop and server support, and network cabling and wiring. Ensures continuity and alignment of division IT&S strategic and operational plans and hospital needs. 
 Requires subject matter knowledge across telecommunications (as applicable) and data technologies, services, and components. Builds and maintains relationships with division and hospital level leadership teams as needed. Demonstrates strong written, verbal, and presentation skills. Should possess a strong personal drive and ability to see strategy through to execution in a matrixed, corporate environment.

 Supervisor:

  Zone IT Director or Facility Director 
 Supervises:

  Sr. Clinical Analyst, Clinical Analyst, Sr. Technical Analyst, Technical Analyst (zone operations may be aligned such that all employees report to Division-based leadership where the Facility IT&S Manager would not supervise any employees). 
 Duties Include But Are Not Limited To:

 
 ·  Responsible for technical and managerial leadership in the establishment of goals and priorities, design, planning, day to day operation, maintenance, and trouble shooting of facility IT&S infrastructure including telecommunications (as applicable), desktop and server support, and network cabling and wiring. 

 · Meets with facility level leadership teams, as needed, to align strategy, services, and coordinate implementation activities.

 · Represents IT&S on hospital committees to manage organizational alignment and shared objectives on an ongoing basis.

 · Recruits, manages, leads, develops, and retains facility IT&S staff.

 · Responsible for managing any hospital-specific hardware and software (as needed).

 · Ensures hospital compliance with enterprise and division policies, standards, and plans encompassing security, operating procedures, networks, data, voice, software, applications, and hardware.

 · Responsible for representing and communicating facility IT&S needs to division.

 · Maintains strong relationships with division IT&S team.

 · Assists the director in the development of the annual budget and 3-year strategic plan.

 · Ensures resources are assigned for the timely resolution of IT&S incidents and requests.

 · Participates in resource planning and allocates resources to meet IT&S goals and business priorities.

 · Organizes, plans, assigns, monitors, and assists in completion of work.

 · Creates an environment that encourages information sharing, team-based resolutions, cross-training, and process improvement within the IT&S area and across organizational boundaries.

 · Adheres to the Code of Conduct and Mission and Value Statements

·Conducts physician interviews in order to determine best physician candidates.

·Engages physician candidates early on in the process in order to maintain interest in employment at HCA.

·Provides to physician candidate an accurate representation of what is entailed with employment at HCA.

·Arranges for FMV analysis to be done if necessary.

·Gathers and reviews practice data.

·Gathers credit histories.

·Interacts with outside evaluator.




3. Conducts front end collection and entering of practice data into PAWS system. 

4. Prepares physician employment contracts in accordance with hospital CEO and Division management expectations while insuring compliance with all applicable regulatory authorities and HCA policies. 

5. Conducts and manages all aspects of the physician contract negotiations from first contact with physician to the transition to live operations. 

6. Facilitates the implementation of start-up process with team to ensure a smooth transition to HCA employment. 

7. Display consistent behavior that enhances the public image of the organization as evidenced by professionalism in interactions with peers, subordinates, customers, (patients, families, physicians, payors, vendors, etc.) 

8. Practice and adhere to the "Code of Conduct" philosophy and "Mission and Value Statement".    

9. Evaluates each employee's performance and provides appropriate guidance and feedback. 

10. Oversees the daily/monthly expenditures, staffing and overtime hours
