This care includes disease prevention, familt planning, and health maintenance. The CNM will consult and or provide referral when aspects of care are beyond the Midwife's scope of practice. Responsible for outpatient visits/care , admission, delivery (intrapatum care) postpartum and emergent care of patients who have been accepted in to the Mountain View Nurese-Midwives client population. This is inclusive of maintaining medical records and obtaining consultations as determined by patient status. Consults and attends patient care conferences with supervising/consulting physician. Maintians certification through the continuing competency assessment process of ACNM (American College of Nurse-Midwives) and by attendance at approved CEU courses.
